Recently, my hubby and I enjoyed a super-fun day at the races.

We even had a win…uh, yeah, but let’s be real – it was 1 win out of 9 possible races.

Not exactly a fabulous return on our investment – LOL

But it’s no mystery as to why that happened. Neither of us know much about horse racing and we also didn’t have any information beyond what was in the basic program to understand anything about the various horses, their previous performance, their health status, etc.

No wonder we had a dismal ROI…we had absolutely NO strategy and NO direction.

Now, that was okay in this context because we knew we were just messing around and putting very little $ at risk.

Yet it got me to thinking about business (shocker).

If you approach your business with zero strategy (like we did at the track), you’re going to have similar results – i.e. very few clients.

>> Set specific goals. Make sure you’re getting super clear about how much you want to earn this month and do the math to figure out how many clients you need to sign or products you need to sell to make that happen.

>> Map out the steps. Plan out your days, your weeks, your months with the specific action steps you’re going to take that will help you achieve your goals.

>> Take action. Stay laser-focused every single day on what you need to accomplish. If you’re falling behind on reaching the goal as the month progresses, ask yourself what else you can be doing to make it happen.

I know these may seem like super-simple ideas, but sometimes we forget the basics and get distracted by shiny objects. Anyone?

What are you doing to make sure you’re sticking to your strategy and staying laser-focused?

You’ve got this <3
