I know how it feels…you’ve finally got a discovery call…you really want to work with this client because you just know in your heart you can truly help her…and so you just can’t wait to share your program with her and ask her if she’s ready to work with you.

But, are you jumping ahead too far, too fast?

Your potential client may not quite be ready to say, “Yes!” She may still be assessing whether you’re the right fit for her or maybe she needs to know more, get her questions answered…and just feel more comfortable.

So don’t be too eager to pop the question.

Instead, try these 3 key strategies to increase your conversion rate for signing new clients:

>>> Of course, you’re asking where she is now and where she wants to be. But are you taking a deep enough dive into how IMPORTANT her goals are to her? On a scale of 0-10 where 10 means EXTREMELY important, if she’s not saying 9 or 10, chances are she may not be ready…OR…you have more questions to ask to uncover what she really wants or what else is going on in her world.

>>> Are you take the time to ask about how URGENT her goals are? I don’t mean urgent as in frantic…I mean urgent as in, “I want my dream biz yesterday and I’m more than ready to make it happen!!!” Again, if she’s not saying she wants to work on her goals right NOW, take a look at why that is. If she’d be okay waiting 6 months to get where she wants to be, she may not be the right fit for your program.

>>> Are you checking to see if she thinks you’re the RIGHT COACH for her? When you first start doing discovery calls this one can be a little scary to ask…but wouldn’t you rather know on the call if she thinks you’re a good fit for her than be left wondering why she said no or never followed up after the fact?

So on your next discovery call, take a deep breath and know that it’s all about the right fit – for you and for your client – and make sure it’s the right time to ask the question!

You’ve got this! <3 🙂
